Weekly forecast
The warm and settled period of weather looks to have gone for a while at least but this week still does not look too bad. The westerly wind flow will continue with moderate strength for most of the week. Monday and Tuesday are forecast for light cloud and sunny intervals then rain showers and longer periods of light rain with some sunny intervals for the rest of the week. Max temperatures 23 to 19 minimum 14 to 18.

Thanks to Georgie for organising another Super Summer Social last week. A chatty run followed by Chips and a drink at The Ship were enjoyed by all.
The next social event is Bowling next Sunday evening at 7.00pm. The club will be funding the £5 bowling fee, and you will find more detail on the event via Weston Social FB. If you do not do fb, please drop Georgie a mail by Tuesday so that she can add you into the draw for teams. There are currently 26 members down to attend.

2024 Championship
Details of the 2024 championship structure and races have previously been announced and are shown on the website under members/2024 Championship.
The races for August are:
14/8 Crook Peak Off Road
26/8 Baltonsborough 5 Short Road
The forecast for Wednesday 14th is currently good. WAC will be helping with the finish Of the Crook Peak race again this year and all proceeds go to charity so do not forget to put the race in your diary. Promise of cake as always too.
TWAC
Evening session for Monday the 5th of August is ‘Run to the Bell 2’ –
Meet 6.50 Congresbury Millenium Green
Interval session with a twist….and a bonus assault course thrown in as well…and for the TWALKERS? Unofficial and at your own risk…SUPing session on the Yeo next to the park. If the weather is good, we will have a drink after and enjoy the Weir…if not the pub calls…decision to be on the morning If you have a SUP board feel free to bring it down.

On the field at Hutton Moor 6/8/24 there will be organised interval sessions taken by Jim or Meet at entrance of Worlebury woods 6.45 pm leaving 6.50 pm for session taken by Nick

Effort. Rolling Recovery
1×1 minute. 30 seconds
2×2 minutes. 60 seconds
2×3 minutes. 75 seconds
4 minutes. 90 seconds
Then back down starting with a second 4min 2×3 etc
Second session
Meet at entrance of Worlebury woods 6.45 pm leaving 6.50 pm.
Session to Include mix step repeats and hill reps, finishing off with a lap of Blackrock path and KDH.
The Wednesday swim sessions at Burnham-on-Sea pool are taking the summer break. Sessions will start again from 4/9/24.
The sessions are suitable for beginners to seasoned triathletes, injured runners – develop your aerobic capacity and muscles you didn’t know existed
Sessions starting from 4/9 can be booked now in blocks of five (£32.50) or ten (£55.00) ad hoc PAY as you GO (£6.50) sessions occasionally available, for PAYG – please ask if there’s space prior to session

Thursday – Group runs from Hutton Moor – meet inside HM upstairs at 6.20 for 6.30 start – This week is the Fartlek Circuit.
Saturday 8AM session – See WAC social for confirmation of meeting place and time later in the week.
