Information and help needed:

Tuesday night training has returned to the seafront for the winter – This Tuesday we have the enduro take down as well as the SEE MONSTER on the front. Meet at the shelter between the Tropicana and Revo at 6.50 for 7.00 (We will then decide where sessions will take place depending on crowds, obstructions, and weather)

Sheryl, Carol, Nick, Jason, and Jim will take the sessions.

Session suitable for all abilities.

Chris McMillan has confirmed that there will be a new procedure for registering to take part in Gwent league events. A Gwent league team manager (which Chris has offered to take on) will make entries onto a new website which will see each runner then issued with an individual barcode to speed up and make results processing more accurate. If you are interested in entering either the Blaise Castle event on the 12th of November or the Pembury Country Park evet on the 3rd of December, please drop Chris a message.

Thanks to Georgie for organising a social on Thursday last week in place of the October prom run. There will be 2 races in November the first being on the 3rd so only 11 days away. If you have not entered for the 3/11 race yet, please remember no entries on the day and that entries close on Tuesday 1/11 at 9.00pm so better do it soon. If you have entered the series do not forget to bring your number as it lasts for the whole 9 race series.

It was sad to see on Thursday that further local events, both the Taunton full and half marathon, have been cancelled for 2023 at least. The race has been organised for nearly 40 years and was to raise money for the Taunton carnival season in October and November each year. Falling race entries and increasing costs for all the required services has driven the decision. Hopefully, the race may see a re-birth in the future

The Monday TWAC session 24/10 will meet at 6.50 at the Black Rock off-road car park at top of Cheddar Gorge. The session is named ‘Bottoms Up’ and will be a ‘New’ Group interval session. – See TWAC fb group for full detail and W3W address.

We currently have a full set of the yellow club kit sizes available. New members can pick up their kit after training on Tuesday night at the seafront.
