Off-Road race results

TWAC outing – Not a race but a well organised and well supported event was the Somerset version of Race the Train WAC style. The challenge was not beating the train to its destination but leaving Bishops Lydeard as the first train left for Minehead and covering the 24 off-road miles to Minehead or one of the intermediate stations in time to get the last train back to the transport. Over thirty people took part in what looked to be ideal conditions, and everybody looked to have a great fun time.

Fyne court Dark Series 10k. Rob Osment completed the off-road 10k in 56.16, Luke Fielder finished in 1.00.04 and Sarah Fielder in 1.05.02

Ironwood challenge – Sunday saw 11 Weston runners take part in the Nailsea road runners Ironwood challenge – Adrian Noble finished 2nd MV50 with other good placings in the field of 151.

Dorset Ooser Half Marathon – Sunday saw Sara and Steven Butcher take part in the Dorset Ooser off-road half marathon canicross event with Oskar. All three finished in 2.52.23 and we don’t know who will be the most tired tonight.

Multi Event results

This weekend saw the Beyond Events Somerset sportive one hundred. Jo and Owen Thurlby completed the event on Saturday in a riding time of 7.11.39 then on Sunday Helen and Stuart Diamond followed the same course and completed in a riding time of 6.55.59. Now for a rest we think.
