Affiliation

Weston AC is affiliated to the British Triathlon Federation (BTF) and as such provides club members an opportunity to join the BTF at a discounted rate.

BTF membership provides many benefits including reduced race entry fees, retailer discounts and insurances, further information can be found at www.britishtriathlon.org

Background

Although Weston AC is primarily a running club, over the years many members have participated in
triathlon or duathlon both at home and abroad.
The club has several fully qualified BTF [British Triathlon Federation] Triathlon Coaches [Level 1,
2 and 3] who run group sessions and are very happy to guide you whether it is towards your first
ever triathlon or a championship race abroad. There is no such thing as a silly question apart from
the question you didn’t ask. We are all individuals, one size doesn’t fit all whether it is
training, racing, nutrition or sleep etc.

Social

Our multi sport FaceBook group is active and used for updates on training sessions that are coached
– focusing on Swim, Bike, Run and Transitions (the 4th discipline!) as well as self organised small
group rides. This is a closed FB group so please ask to join [WAC members only]. Discussions are
varied according what is needed.

Every year there is a club championship award, Covid-19 restrictions willing. Watch this space and
the FB page
