The Dave Jones Prom Series Race for October

Welcome to the official October Race in the 2023/24 Series

Despite the Stormy weather leading up to this event, the actual weather calmed in the evening and allowed for some decent running conditions.

There was an increase to 190 Adults in the Main 5 miler race and again 17 Juniors for the One Mile event.

Well done to you all for taking this on.

Callum Moore (Great Western Runners) has now made it two in a row of firsts in a nearly identical time to last month of 26.30, closely followed again by Robert Farley (Bittern Road Runners) just 3 secs behind in the Senior Race.

First Female Ellie Wallace (North Somerset AC) then came in third place overall in one of the best female times seen in recent years with a time of 26:43, some 5 minutes ahead of the next female runner.

Well done again to all the Junior runners. Stan Barker still remaining strong in the Junior One Mile distance finishing in a close time to his last race of 5:07 in the 7-11 category, with the first female Estelle Lowe (7-11) coming in 5th overall in a very good time of 5:48
Congratulations to Ned Evans finishing as first in the R6 category with a time of 7:34.
These Juniors continue to impress. All credit to them.

Thank you to all the organisers and marshals at tonight’s prom, always providing the runners with some good encouragement.

Congratulations to all finishers, hoped you all enjoy the whole series and continue to achieve PBs, whether by time, position or just finishing.
