This year, as in previous years, Weston Athletic Club will be running their Christmas Cracker training group for beginners. The Christmas Cracker 10k race takes place on Sunday 4th December.

It doesn’t matter if you’ve never run before, or if you have had a break from running, this group is perfect for all. Grouped by ability, we meet every Monday at 7pm with the option of an additional session on Saturday mornings at 8am. The first meeting will take place on Monday September 26th at 7pm at Priory School. This will be a introduction to the course and what to expect with a short run to start.

The Weston AC team are a friendly bunch, some of who started off just like you in a beginner group.  Therefore, we are confident that you will find us both welcoming and supportive.

This 10-week programme, designed to get you race ready, takes you from 0 – 10k so that you can comfortably complete this year’s 34th Christmas Cracker.

We ask for a donation of £30 to take part in the course, which we pass on to Weston Hospicecare (after any necessary expenses).

This year’s group is organised by club members Paul Baker and Rachel Stacey with the help of club coaches, leaders and other club members, all of whom give up their time for free.

In the first instance, please contact Paul Baker p.baker70@btinternet.com for more information and to find out how to take part. We look forward to welcoming and supporting you through your introduction to running.
